The kind of coastline that looks like it could be anywhere in the world — Portugal, the Canaries, some unnamed stretch of Mediterranean shelf — but it's twenty minutes from my studio. Bruna isn't staged. She's placed. Every image is built around reality—weather, landscape, movement, mood. Nothing is forced. Everything is adapted. A cloudy day becomes texture. Rocks become composition. Cold becomes tension. A duck in frame isn't a mistake—it's part of the moment. This is portraiture in real conditions. Not controlled perfection—directed truth.

Directing a Model on Location in Natural Conditions
We made the bottoms ourselves. One-off. We had a jewelry collaborator on the rings. The whole point was to break away from anything matchy — to make the styling feel considered. When you can design what's in the frame instead of pulling from a rack, the image just lands different. Less product, more person.

Overcast is ideal for fashion swim editorial — soft diffused light, no harsh shadows, no squinting. Most photographers avoid it. I prefer it.

The terrain. Shooting on rocks at Palos Verdes while maintaining strong composition required constant adjustment and awareness.

Minimal but intentional — custom one-off swim pieces, black and white tones, slight jewelry. The environment did most of the work.
